Das Finanzierungsverhalten deutscher Unternehmen – Hinweise auf eine Kreditklemme? Dieser Beitrag untersucht das Finanzierungsverhalten deutscher Unternehmen im Zeitraum von 2000–2006. Die Untersuchungsergebnisse zeigen, dass vor allem bei nicht-börsennotierten KMU, die in ihrer Außenfinanzierung besonders stark von Bankkrediten abhängen, eine hohe Abhängigkeit der Investitionen von internen Finanzierungsmitteln vorliegt. Zudem wird deutlich, dass KMU im Gegensatz zu börsennotierten und großen nicht-börsennotierten Unternehmen nicht in der Lage sind, Bankkredite zu substituieren. Die Befunde dieses Beitrags deuten darauf hin, dass der im Untersuchungszeitraum ebenfalls zu beobachtende Rückgang im aggregierten Kreditvolumen nicht ausschließlich eine nachfrageseitige Reaktion auf strukturelle Entwicklungen darstellt. Vielmehr liefern sie Anzeichen auf eine angebotsorientierte Störung auf dem Kreditmarkt ("Kreditklemme"), von der die untersuchten Unternehmen in unterschiedlich starkem Ausmaß betroffen sind.
