Demographic Catastrophes in Russia
There probably has never been such a "troubled" time in Russian history as the first half of the nineteen hundreds. In this historically brief period of time, there were three revolutions, two world wars and a civil war, and a fundamental and, what is more important, forcible breakup of socioeconomic relations. People's sacrifices were so great that there arose in the West the concept of three catastrophes that shook the country's demographic sphere, and this concept gained wide currency.
