Derivatives and Debt : The Market as God and Marketing as Proselytizing

Human creativity has produced many unique aspects of behavior in history. The essence of the unique nature of these behaviors are seen in the context of a course of history that is defined in contrast to the current time and technological level, what is called “modernity.” Economic behavior shares many aspects of recruitment with religion and economic agents, e.g., stock traders economic planners, etc. and these with those of religion, shaman and priests. This paper examines these similarities over time using some cross-cultural examples
