Development of Medium-Sized Enterprises
In this research, we investigate the symbiotic connection that exists between entrepreneurialism and business incubation programmes in higher education, as well as in micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). The community of people involved in economic development has, for a very long time, held the view that a vibrant private sector is essential for economic progress. Enterprises have been recognised as the engine of economic development, playing an essential function at the core of entrepreneurship, especially in nations that are still in the formative stages of their economies. Enterprise development has been recognised as the source of the vast majority of new employment and productive investments, in addition to serving as the basis for economic expansion and the alleviation of poverty. It has been proposed that business support programmes such as business incubators are the much-needed business model for encouraging entrepreneurship in any nation, but especially in higher education in the Philippines. According to the incubation development theory, increasing access to shared facilities such as working spaces, offices, hands-on organisation support, and access to financing, networking, and publicity to important business and technical assistance all contribute to an increase in the success of ventures throughout the incubation phase. This applies not only to the students participating in this programme, but also to the SMEs practitioners who are participating. The symbiotic link between entrepreneurship and business incubation results in several beneficial outcomes, including economic growth, the production of new jobs, and a rise in the competitiveness of already-established companies
