Dezentralisierung und Rezentralisierung: Restrukturierung eines tschechischen Maschinenbaukonzerns
Der Beitrag präsentiert erste Ergebnisse aus einer Fallstudie in einem traditionsreichen tschechischen Maschinenbaukonzern. Dieses autochtone Unternehmen versucht eine Restrukturierung aus eigener Kraft, d.h. ohne einen nennenswerten Transfer von Wissen, Technik oder Kapital durch einen ausländischen Partner. Die Transformation der institutionellen Rahmenbedingungen ökonomischen Handelns führte zu einer Atomisierung des Konzerns in eine Vielzahl autonomer Tochtergesellschaften und zu einer Diffusion der Macht, letztlich zur Auflösung der konzerninternen Vernetzungen und Gefährdung der synergetischen Potentiale. Der Konzern leitete daraufhin Anfang 1995 die eigentliche Restrukturierung ein, um die Vernetzungen durch Einbettung in eine neue formale Organisation wiederzubeleben und damit die Voraussetzungen für seine Expansions- und Globalisierungsstrategie zu schaffen. Parallel zum Wandel der Organisationsstrukturen bahnte sich ein Wechsel von einer charismatischen Führung in einer hierachischen Befehlsstruktur zu einer veralltäglichten Autorität in einer offeneren Organisation an.
