Die gemeinsame Agrarpolitik der EU : Fluch oder Segen?

Die Gemeinsame Agrarpolitik (GAP) der EU entstand in den Gründungsjahren der Europäischen Gemeinschaft und beruhte auf dem Ziel, preiswerte Nahrungsmittel in ausreichender Menge anzubieten. Seitdem wurde die GAP mehrfach reformiert. Das heutige Ziel der GAP ist die Gewährleistung von gesunden Lebensmitteln sowie die Schonung der ländlichen Umwelt. Um diese Ziele zu erreichen, wurde ein Zwei-Säulen-Programm ins Leben gerufen, das zum einen auf einer gemeinsamen Marktordnung und zum anderen auf einer Entwicklung des ländlichen Raumes beruht. Dieser Beitrag gibt einen Überblick über die GAP und eine Bewertung der Maßnahmen.
