Diese Studie gibt erstmalig einen umfassenden Einblick in die Motivstruktur zweier vergleichbarer Ernährungstrends. Durch den Konsum von Superfood oder Nahrungsergänzungsmitteln (NEM) werden die Werte Gesundheit, Lebensfreude und Selbstbewusstsein angestrebt. Grundlage der Motivstudie ist der Stand der Wissenschaft zu den gesundheitlichen Wirkungen von Superfoods und NEM. Die Ergebnisse können von Unternehmen als Basis für Neuproduktentwicklungen und zukünftige Kommunikationsstrategien eingesetzt werden. Franziska Schweiger hat das Masterstudium der Agrar- und Ernährungswirtschaft an der Universität für Bodenkultur Wien absolviert und ist derzeit am Bundesministerium für Nachhaltigkeit und Tourismus tätig. Ao. Univ. Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Rainer Haas ist seit 1993 an der Universität für Bodenkultur Wien in Forschung und Lehre tätig, sein Forschungsschwerpunkt ist das Konsumentenverhalten in der Agrar- und Ernährungswirtschaft. Er war Gastprofessor an der University of Florida in Gainesville (USA) und ist Autor zahlreicher wissenschaftlicher Bücher und Artikel.
