Die Persönlichkeit als Erklärungsansatz interindividueller Unterschiede im Anlegerverhalten an der Börse
Ausgehend von den Erkenntnissen des Behavioral Finance wird in der vorliegenden Arbeit die Persönlichkeit als Erklärungsansatz für interindividuelle Unterschiede im Anlegerverhalten an der Börse untersucht. Die Darstellung derartiger Zusammenhänge dient dem Ziel, Investoren Einblicke in ihre Psyche zu gewähren und ihnen die hierin begründeten Anlageverhaltensmuster vor Augen zu führen. Diese Selbsterkenntnis kann dann als Ansatzpunkt für etwaige Verhaltensänderungen dienen. Der Einfluß von Persönlichkeitsdispositionen auf das Anlegerverhalten wurde zunächst theoretisch abgeleitet und begründet. Anschließend erfolgte die empirische Überprüfung anhand von neun entwickelten Anlegerverhaltensskalen. Die Spezifität der Situation Börse konfrontiert Anleger mit einer Vielzahl an Informationen und Risiken, was in Abhängigkeit von ihrer Persönlichkeitsstruktur zu Streßreaktionen führen kann. Die in dieser Arbeit betrachteten 9 Verhaltensweisen, die Anleger an den Tag legen, um mit potentiell stressenden Situationen umzugehen, können differenziert werden in problem- und emotionsorientiert. Von den fünf wichtigsten Persönlichkeitsfaktoren wurden in ihrem Einfluß auf das Anlegerverhalten vor allem Neurotizismus, Extraversion und Gewissenhaftigkeit als bedeutsam erachtet. Von Anlegern mit hohen Werten in Neurotizismus wurde angenommen, daß sie zu emotionsorientierten Verhaltensweisen neigen. Extravertierte und gewissenhafte Anleger setzen vermutlich dagegen vorwiegend problemorientierte Maßnahmen ein. Dementsprechend wurden in insgesamt 27 Hypothesen für Neurotizismus überwiegend emotionsorientierte Streßverarbeitungsstrategien im Anlegerverhalten erwartet, für Extraversion und Gewissenhaftigkeit problemorientierte Strategien. Untersucht wurden 302 Probanden im Alter zwischen unter 20 bis über 51 Jahren, 91% Männer. Bei den Befragten handelte es sich um engagierte, interessierte und informierte Anleger. Sie bearbeiteten online einen Fragebogen, der sich aus den Skalen Neurotizismus, Extraversion und Gewissenhaftigkeit des NEO-FFI und den folgenden neun Anlegerverhaltensskalen zusammensetzte: Art der Informationsverarbeitung, Analytischer Entscheidungsstil, Intuitiver Entscheidungsstil, Wahrnehmung von Kontrolle, Risikofreude, Gewinne frühzeitig realisieren, Momentum-Strategie im Gewinn, Verluste aussitzen und Contra-Strategie im Verlust. Die internen Konsistenzen der Skalen lagen zwischen a = .57 und .95. Zur Überprüfung der Hypothesen wurden neun Regressionsberechnungen eingesetzt. Um ein umfassenderes Bild der Einflußfaktoren auf das Anlegerverhalten zu ermöglichen, wurden neben den Persönlichkeitseigenschaften als Prädiktoren, sozio-demographische Variablen und die Anlageerfahrung als Zusatzvariablen berücksichtigt Von den sozio-demographischen Variablen wirkte sich lediglich das Alter auf die Anlegerskalen aus, jedoch nur äußerst gering. Dagegen hatte die Anlagerfahrung etwas mehr Einfluß. Bestätigt wurden vor allem die für Anleger mit hohen Werten in Neurotizismus erwarteten emotionsorientierten Streßbewältigungsmaßnahmen wie passives Informationsverhalten, das Aussitzen von Verlusten, die frühzeitige Realisierung von Gewinnen sowie eine externale Kontrollüberzeugung und Risikoscheu. Extraversion korrelierte positiv mit intuitivem Entscheidungsstil und einer Momentum-Strategie im Gewinn. Für Gewissenhaftigkeit konnten die Hypothesen zu analytischem Entscheidungsstil und internaler Kontrollüberzeugung bestätigt werden. Insgesamt war der Einfluß der Persönlichkeitseigenschaften auf das Anlageverhalten jedoch relativ gering, und dabei vor allem der von Extraversion und Gewissenhaftigkeit.
