Die Resilienz deutscher Kreise gegenüber der Naturkatastrophe Sturm "Lothar"
Dieser Artikel untersucht die wirtschaftliche Resilienz der deutschen Kreise gegenüber einer Naturkatastrophe. Hierfür betrachten wir die Auswirkungen des Sturms LOTHAR, welcher zum Ende des Jahres 1999 besonders in Süddeutschland wütete. Unsere Untersuchung zeigt, dass die deutschen Regionen gegenüber dem Sturm LOTHAR recht resilient waren. Nur in besonders stark betroffenen Orkanregionen hatte LOTHAR einen negativen Einfluss auf das Bruttoinlandsprodukt je Einwohner. Kreise, in denen die Windstärken geringer ausfielen, waren demgegenüber weniger anfällig. Auch in den stark betroffenen Kreisen kam es aber zu einer sehr schnellen wirtschaftlichen Erholung, in der Regel innerhalb eines Jahres.
