Die Rolle des Internationalen Währungsfonds nach der Teilreform des Währungssystems Seit einiger Zeit haben sich die Stimmen gemehrt, die einen Ausbau des Internationalen Währungsfonds fordern mit dem Ziel, diesen erstens stärker als bisher an der Finanzierung der vorhandenen Zahlungsbilanzdefizite zu beteiligen, zweitens ihn stärker eine Überwachungsfunktion ausüben zu lassen. Der Bericht behandelt dazu drei Aspekte: (1) Es werden Art und Umfang der finanziellen Aktivitäten des IWF im Rahmen der allgemeinen Kreditfazilitäten wie der Sonderfazilitäten dargestellt und erläutert; (2) es werden die wichtigsten Änderungen der im Jahr 1977 wirksam werdenden neuen IWF-Statuten bezüglich des Wechselkurssystems, der Rolle des Goldes und der Sonderziehungsrechte sowie der vierten allgemeinen Quotenerhöhung und der temporären Ausweitung der normalen Ziehungsmöglichkeiten auf den IWF behandelt; (3) es wird die Rolle des IWF im zukünftigen währungspolitischen Geschehen
