Dienstleistungen in der Investitionsgüterindustrie: der weite Weg vom Sachguthersteller zum Problemlöser
Nahezu alle Firmen der Investitionsgüterindustrie bieten produktbegleitende Dienstleistungen an. Mit durchschnittlich 6 Prozent Umsatz ist diese Art, den Kunden komplette Problemlösungen zu liefern, jedoch randständig. Die angebotenen Dienstleistungen entsprechen eher dem branchenüblichen "Muß", als einem innovativen kundenorientierten Service. Die wenigen Firmen (2 Prozent), die aktiv den Servicegedanken zum Wettbewerbsvorteil ausbauen, zeigen, daß es auch anders geht: Von der Produktauslegung über die Zeit der Produktnutzung bis hin zur Entsorgung offerieren diese Firmen ihren Kunden mit dem Sachgut ganze Problemlösungen. Sie erzielen mit produktbegleitenden Dienstleistungen im Durchschnitt 13 Prozent ihres Umsatzes, setzen auf die regionale Nähe zu ihren Kunden und beschäftigen hoch qualifiziertes Personal. Daß diese Vorreiter ihren Vorsprung wohl noch einige Zeit behalten werden, belegen die Planungszahlen ihrer Konkurrenten. In den nächsten Jahren wird sich demnach die Serviceorientierung der Investitionsgüterindustrie, wenn kein Umdenkprozeß stattfindet, wohl nur zögernd verbessern.
