Lokal zugeteilte Frequenzen im Bereich 3,7 GHz ermöglichen die Errichtung von 5G-Campusnetzen in Deutschland. Aktuell sind bereits innovative Anwendungen im Bereich Industrie 4.0 oder der Intralogistik von 5G möglich. Die Entwicklung von 5G-Campusnetzen ist jedoch ein evolutorischer Prozess. Es wird noch einige Jahre dauern, bis die Technik sämtliche Anwendungen unterstützt, mit denen die Industrie ihre Digitalisierung bestreiten will.
