Disarticulation of Policies : Relationship between Economic and Social in Paraguay (Desarticulación de Políticas: Relación entre lo Económico y lo Social en Paraguay )

Since 1989 in Paraguay there have been important changes and reconfigurations in all areas. However, in the analysis of the current economic and social situation in Paraguay, the historical problem of the concentration of land and the consequences left by the dictatorship of Alfredo Stroessner cannot be ignored, situations that largely support reflection on social policies. One of the main factors recognized as the origin and center of the entire economic and social system of the country is the concentration of land. Another important issue is that Paraguay’s growth levels have remained stable in recent years and have been above the regional average, but poverty and inequality still affect a large part of the population.
