Donner du sens à ses données qualitatives en Systèmes d’Information : deux démarches d’analyse possibles à l’aide du logiciel NVivo 8

In many research papers the research methodology section gives details of the context and data gathering strategy however the data analysis process often remains a mystery. In an aim to increase collective reflection on data analysis, this article adds to emerging literature on the subject. Based on semi-structured interviews conducted as part of Information Systems research, the authors will analyze data according to 2 methods of analysis expanding on Miles and Huberman and Strauss and Corbin’s (grounded theory) works. Data processing is carried out with the NVivo software, the stages of the analysis are highlighted and the results stemming from the two different approaches are compared.
