Dynamique économique et nouvelles exigences de l'investigation historique : « learning to love multiple equilibria »
[fre] Dynamique économique et nouvelles exigences de l'investigation historique : « learning to love multiple equilibria ». . [eng] Economic dynamics and the new requirements of historical exploration : « learning to love multiple equilibria ». . The purpose of this paper is to emphasize the « essentially historical character » of a class of dynamic processes in economics. The existence of local positive feedback mechanisms, and consequent multiple equilibria are the properties of such pat-dependent processes. The works by P. David or B. Arthur examine the conditions under which history matters for understanding the motions as well as the outcomes of a dynamics process.
