Economic Reform and Finance
The chief goal of the present economic transformations is to increase the effectiveness of social production in every way, to accelerate the growth rates of the national income, and, on this basis, to raise steadily the material well-being of the Soviet people and to strengthen the nation's might. These transformations signify the further development of the Leninist principles of socialist management and the improvement of production relations in keeping with the attained level of productive forces and of scientific-technical progress.
