Efectos en el empleo en las micro y pequeñas empresas generados por la emergencia del COVID-19 : Caso Colombia (COVID-19 effects on micro and small enterprises' employment: The Colombian case)
Spanish Abstract: El presente documento tiene como objetivo analizar el impacto en el empleo en las micro y pequeñas empresas por la emergencia del Covid-19 en las trece principales áreas metropolitanas de Colombia. Para tal fin se siguen las consideraciones metodológicas realizadas por Serna-Gómez, Barrera-Escobar & Castro-Escobar (2020) quienes construyen un índice de riesgo a la pérdida del empleo desde cinco aspectos: actividad económica, condición contractual, lugar de trabajo, posición ocupacional e informalidad. Los resultados permiten identificar que cerca del 25% de la población ocupada de este tejido empresarial ubicado en las trece principales áreas se encuentra en riesgo de perder su empleo, lo que equivale a 1.825.954 de personas ocupadas. Entre los sectores más afectados se encuentran transporte y comunicaciones, actividades inmobiliarias, construcción y comercio. Estos resultados varían entre áreas metropolitanas al peso de las condiciones de formalización laboral y al peso relativo en el empleo total de actividades económicas con mayor afectación. A
