Effects of Different Nuclear Side Reactions on Ignition Criteria in Deuterium/Helium-3 Fueled Tokamak Reactor
In this study, the behavior of triple product ( n i τ E T i ) and height of the saddle point is investigated on the base of the particle and power balance equations in a zero-dimensional model concerning primary reaction and side reactions among all product and reactant species in D-3He fueled tokamak. For this purpose, a set of equations are coupled and solved numerically. Ignition capability is investigated and compared for different types of side reactions, other features like the ratio between particle and energy confinement time, and hot ion modes. Finally, the results are compared to each other to improve future research
