Eine räumliche Analyse für Deutschland: Wie sich Menschen mit niedrigen Löhnen in Großstädten verteilen
Zur Existenz und Verbreitung von Niedriglohnbeschäftigung liegen vielfältige Forschungsbefunde vor. Dagegen gibt es wenige wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse darüber, wo Niedriglohnbezieher ansässig sind. Georeferenzierte Daten erlauben es erstmals, ihre räumliche Verteilung über Städte hinweg vergleichend sichtbar zu machen und zu untersuchen. Die Autoren zeigen beispielhaft anhand mehrerer deutscher Großstädte, wie sich die Niedriglohnbezieher kleinräumig innerhalb einer Stadt verteilen. Berlin und Hamburg gehören neben Frankfurt und Leipzig zu den am stärksten segregierten Großstädten. Der visuelle Vergleich von Berlin, Hamburg und München zeigt einige interessante Unterschiede. Berlin zeigt große Flächen, die von einem hohen Anteil an Niedriglohnbeziehern bewohnt werden, während München die geringste Konzentration von Niedriglohnbeziehern aufweist.
