Emotional Intelligence and the Transformation of Management Education in Nigeria

The study was designed to determine the necessity for emotional intelligence in the transformation of management education in Nigeria and recommend strategies for improvement. The study was delimited to Aba, Owerri, and Umuahia, in South East Nigeria. Emotional Intelligence describes the abilities for self-management and the managements and control of other people in various gettings. The study research design was employed. The chi-square statistic tool was used for data analysis. It was found that emotional intelligence training would be necessary for the transformation of management education in Nigeria. Five (5) recommendations were made based on the findings of the study
