Employability : A Review of Theoretical and Realistic Themes

The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of some of the main empirical theoretical and realistic themes in the area of management student’s employability. The paper draws upon various studies to highlight the different themes necessary for the employability. It further draws upon research that has explored the ways in which management students construct their employability and begin to manage the move from HE to work. The paper explores some of the theoretical notions that have informed understandings of employability containing the employability agenda, curriculum developments and academic perspectives, employability attributes, reflective learning, work experience, team work, employability performance indicators and employer’s perceptions
