Employee Engagement Drivers Linking to the Organizational Performance of Family Firms
Employee engagement, recognized for its practical value in contemporary corporate organizations, has become a focal point in the field of human resources. It is widely acknowledged as a critical factor contributing to a company's success and competitive edge. This study aims to investigate the determinants of employee engagement and their impact on the performance of family firms. The identified drivers of employee engagement encompass career development, talent management, leadership, respectful treatment, employee empowerment, fair treatment, performance appraisal, compensation & benefits, health & safety, communication, satisfaction, and family friendliness. Adopting a review methodology, the existing literature on employee engagement and family firm performance is thoroughly examined to uncover the relationships among these selected constructs. The findings from the reviewed studies substantiate the significant influence of these employee engagement drivers on the organizational performance of family firms
