Energy Efficiency in Havel Cocopeat Plant

Saving energy through energy efficiency improvements can cost less than generating, transmitting, and distributing energy from power plants, and provides multiple economic and environmental benefits. Modern world is facing energy consumption as part of the problem. Renewable and non-renewable plays a major role in power generation and has heavy impact on the environment. Energy conservation is a major issue in India. Increasing energy costs and stricter environmental requirements forces the water treatment plants to start working with energy conservation.A lot of effort is made on researching more environmentally friendly methods of power generation and on finding alternatives to the use of fossil fuels and in conservation of energy. Energy conservation and consumption are two different future technologies which contribute in energy conservation as a part of everyone's thinking much would be achieved. The processes at Havel Cocopeat Plant are studied from an energy conservation perspective to see what can be done to decrease energy consumption without affecting the quality, quality of the treatment. Indian water treatment plants' energy usage equals a total of 1535 KWh per year. Together with the Indian drinking water treatment, the usage corresponds to approximately 1 % of the total electrical energy consumption in India. Potentials for a reduction of this usage do exist. However, very modest efforts for energy usage conservation have to be attempted
