Energy outlook and environmental implications for Korea
Energy conservation and fuel substitution are two principal goals of the energy policy of Korea. Concerns for environmental improvement have given added value to conservation and rational fuel choices. Recent energy-efficiency improvements in Korea and long-term energy demands with environmental implications are analyzed. We evaluate the long-term potential for energy-efficiency improvement and identify major uncertainties and constraints in making rational fuel choices.
