Ernährung und Wasser - ein Lebensbaustein wird immer begehrter : mögliche Folgen und Konsequenzen für Unternehmen, Anleger und Kapitalmärkte

Wasser: Das Thema "Wasser" ist außerordentlich facettenreich. So können z.B. Aussagen wie "Wasser ist global betrachtet ausreichend vorhanden" und "5 Mio. Menschen sterben jährlich an Wassermangel" gleichberechtigt nebeneinander stehen. Denn beide sind "wahr". Sie weisen allerdings zugleich auf die grundlegende, dann auch aus Unternehmens- und Investorensicht bedeutsame Problematik hin: wie kann Wasser möglichst effizient verteilt und genutzt werden? Der Staat alleine kann bei anstehenden Investitionssummen im hohen dreistelligen Milliarden-Dollar-Bereich kein Garant mehr sein für eine bedarfsgerechte Versorgung. Wir beleuchten die Aufgabenteilung zwischen Staat und Privaten, Probleme der Preisfindung und weisen auf bereits bestehende, rein marktwirtschaftlich organisierte Bereiche der Wasserindustrie hin. Ernährung: Für die Nahrungsmittel- und Getränkeindustrie werden die zu erwartenden demographischen Veränderungen zwei entscheidende Konsequenzen haben: In den westlichen Industrieländern wird der steigende Anteil der älteren Bevölkerung sowie die Zunahme von Singlehaushalten zu einer wachsenden Segmentierung der Angebotspalette führen und Innovationen in vielen Sparten der Nahrungsmittelindustrie auslösen. Der kräftige Zuwachs der Bevölkerung in Asien bei gleichzeitig wachsendem Pro-Kopf-Einkommen wird regionale Schwerpunktverschiebungen, vor allem in Richtung China und Indien, nach sich ziehen. Die Nahrungsmittelindustrie wird in Zukunft ein defensives Investment bleiben. Aber auch dieser Sektor bietet Investoren lukrative Anlagechancen: Vorsprung werden vor allem diejenigen Unternehmen haben, die flexibel auf globale Entwicklungen und wechselnde Konsumgewohnheiten reagieren. Interessante Investments können sich auch in Branchen wie der Verpackungsindustrie und dem Transportsektor, ebenso wie im Bereich innovativer Nahrungsmitteltechnologien und des Maschinen- und Anlagenbaus, ergeben.
