Ethical Model of Teachers in Self Financed Professional Engineering Colleges at Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India

In India, education was considered to be a philanthropic activity and Vaivaswatha Manu, who wrote Manusmrithi, an universal rule for governance of the society, considered education should be given free to those who yearn for that. But, in the long run, education was converted into an enterprise or commercial activity and especially higher education system has been adopted as an entrepreneurial affair. Now, the self financed entrepreneurial colleges and institutions outnumber the aided and government institutions and a survey was conducted to identify and analyze the relationships and expectations of the two main stakeholders, the students and the teachers. The ethical bondage that should exist in between these two stakeholders is discussed in this research article. This article is purely of clinical research and may be expanded further for further researches
