European Industrial Relations after the Crisis. A Postscript

Since the revitalisation of the European integration process by the Delors Commission, European institutions have been encouraging social dialogue and the emergence of a European system of industrial relations. The Barroso Commission's response to the Eurozone crisis is a source of concern for the proponents of a social Europe. To what extent does the crisis vindicate those who already argued in the 1990s that the European Monetary Union also needed to include a political union?
