Evidence for a 'Utility of Consumption' in the Context of Which Happiness (Utility) Is, in Relation to Increases to Income, Time Invariant

This study provides formal theoretical evidence, to wit, `effort for increase to the stock of an agent's awareness' (`awareness effort') is a more native parameterization of the rationality of agents than any of, utility maximization, rational preferences, or rational heuristics. With awareness effort as the parameterization of rationality, the utility of awareness effort - the utility from any and all engagements with searches for information - is dichotomized from the utility of consumption. Consequent on the dichotomization, the utility of consumption is ordinal and measurable, and it's reference dependent structure rationalizes the time invariance of happiness in response to increases to income
