Factors Affecting Adoption of Mobile Banking Services in Pakistan

Aim: The main aim of this research was to investigate the factors that have been limiting the spread of mobile banking services in Pakistan.Method: The research adopted a primary quantitative methodology in which a 5- point based Likert scale questionnaire was distributed. Responses of 274 respondents were gathered an analysed through SPSS.Findings: The frequency analysis first revealed that participants have a mixed perception regarding the data security risks and cost of services of mobile banking services. Meanwhile, majority of the participants agreed that trust on bank’s services, and institutional and operational mechanisms is important for expansion of mobile banking. Same result was obtained for perceive ease of use. Finally, from correlation and regression analysis, it was found that perceived cost is not impactful on mobile banking services. Whereas, perceived trust, perceived risk, and perceived ease of use are statistically significant causal factors
