Finanzinnovationen und die LM-Kurve
Dieser Beitrag diskutiert Auswirkungen von Produktinnovationen auf den Geldmarkt: Im Falle von zu Geld alternativen Produktinnovationen wird die Geldnachfrage zinselastischer und somit die LM-Kurve flacher. Andererseits steigt die Zinselastizität bei Produktinnovationen in Form von verzinstem Geld, wodurch die LMKurve steiler wird. Die Auswirkungen auf den angebotsseitigen Teil des Geldmarktes hängen von der Form der Portfolioumstrukturierung nach Einführung der Produktinnovation ab. Falls es durch die Produktinnovation zu einer Portfolioumstrukturierung von Geld zur Finanzinnovation kommt, sinkt der Geldschöpfungsmultiplikator bei einer zu Geld alternativen Produktinnovation, während er bei Produktinnovationen in Form von verzinstem Geld gleichbleibt. Wenn die Finanzierung der Produktinnovation im Rahmen der Portfolioumstrukturierung aus zu Geld alternativen Anlageformen erfolgt, so kann bei zu Geld alternativen Finanzinnovationen keine eindeutige Aussage über die Veränderung des Geldschöpfungsmultiplikators gemacht werden, für den Fall von Finanzinnovationen in Form von verzinstem Geld wird der Geldschöpfungsmultiplikator steigen.
