Food Security, Land Degradation, Water Depletion, and Sustainable Farming in Sub-Saharan Africa: Linkages and Opportunities

The challenge of achievving simultaneously food security, rural welfare, land protection and soil fertility regeneration as well as climate change adaptation in the face of demograhic growth are overwhelming for Sub-Saharan Africa. However, sustainable farming offers opportunities to maintain food security, mitigate effects of climate change, protect land and raise cash at the same time.
