Foreign capital in the PRC

The encouragement of foreign investment is a key point of the so-called "open door" policy pursued by China in recent years. It is noted in this country that the use of foreign capital has become an important component in the long-term and annual plans of China's economic development. The author explores the role of foreign capital in the PRC paying special attention to the activities of the transnational corporations (TNCs).
