Gender, Institutions and Development (Edition 2019)
OECD Development Centre and Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development
The Gender, Institutions and Development Database (GID-DB) is a database providing researchers and policy makers with key data on gender-based discrimination in social institutions. The data help analyse women’s empowerment and understand gender gaps in other key areas of development. Covering 180 countries and territories, the GID-DB contains comprehensive information on legal, cultural and traditional practices that discriminate against women and girls.
