Global Collaboration, Knowledge Creation and Innovation in COVID-19 Pandemic

[enter Abstract Body]International collaboration in research and innovation has greatly intensified within the span of just some months during the COVID-19 pandemic. The rapid mobilization of such a big amount of players across the planet to collaboratively develop and test new therapies and vaccines has been remarkable. Unprecedented international knowledge creation efforts are engaging multiple stakeholders like hospitals, private companies, research institutes, government at various levels, and civil society. Pharmaceutical Companies across the world started their research and development to come up with vaccines so as to contain the spread of COVID-19 through global collaborations. COVISHIELD™ (manufactured by Serum Institute of India Pvt Ltd) and COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca (manufactured by AstraZeneca) are ChAdOx1 nCoV- 19 Corona Virus Vaccines (Recombinant). Oxford University and Astrazeneca have collaborated with Serum Institute of India (SII), Pune for the manufacturing of the vaccines as they are the largest producer of vaccines worldwide. In the present research paper, the focus is on the knowledge creation, innovation, and global collaboration of different organizations, governments, private players to combat the pandemic
