Globalization, Consumption Patterns and Human Development in Egypt.

Although the last three decades represent only the most recent episode of Egypt's "opening up to the world", their impact on the Egyptian economy and society seems much wider and goes much deeper than anything that Egypt had experienced before, this justifies the use of the relatively new term "globalization". This paper discusses the impact of globalization on only those aspects that could be regarded as major indicators or determinants of Human Development.
