Gründungsfinanzierung von Sozialunternehmen (Funding Social Enterprise Start-Ups)

In this paper, I examine the difficulties of launching a Social Enterprise. The key challenge of funding a Social Enterprise Start-Up is to conceive a functioning business model. Social Enterprises are often subject to market failure as they try to provide for public goods or to improve them. I discuss the main strategies Social Enterprise use to avoid market failure. They do this by encouraging participation, building awareness and trust, by generating additional value using existing resources and by ensuring consumer readiness to buy before producing goods.An integrated approach that includes all stakeholders, i.e. employes, clients, beneficiaries etc., into the process of funding can increase long-term stability of a Social Enterprise. Financial instruments such as crowdfunding, microcredits or the cooperative as a form of enterprise help launching a Start-Up successfully
