Grievance machinery and strikes in Australia.
Increased understanding of the processes of industrial and labor relations may often be achieved by comparing and analyzing the experience of two or more countries. In this article, James W. Kuhn probes beneath the surface of Australian and American strike statistics to find that differences in union organization at the shop level may account for differences in the duration and extent of strike participation.
