Gustoca cestovne mreze u Hrvatskoj

On the basis of carried out analysis the author concludes that development of road network in Croatia, regarding both its surface area and population number, is very inefficient in relation to developed European countries, and thus road network density should be significantly increased, especially on local level. The length of motorways and highways network in regard to surface area and population number also does not suffice in comparison with developed countries, what demands its increase. However the author at the same time proves by using the comparative analysis that ambitious plans on constructing 3148 kilometres of motorways and highways till 2010 surpasstraffic necessitits and material possibilities of a country, and that the proposal on future length of this kind should be remarkably lower.
