How does one cooperate with China?
Yelena Sproghis
The article scrutinizes Soviet-Chinese economic relations with special reference to joint ventures, co-operation in building up Europe-Asia transport link and Sino-Soviet co-operation projects with participation of third countries. It notes that an increasingly perceptible obstacle to the growth of bilateral trade is the problem of finding enough commodities for export on the Chinese and, particularly the Soviet side. The growth in across-the-border trade between the USSR and China is discussed. (DÜI-Sen)
