Hubungan Konsumsi Zat Besi Dan Status Gizi Dengan Produktivitas Kerja Wanita Pencetak Batu Bata Di Kecamatan Pagar Merbau Kabupaten Deli Serdang Tahun 2004
Iron anemia is one of the main problems of nutrient in Indonesia that cause society health problems such as the height of the mother and infant mortality, the low academic achievement and the decline of the work productivity. Woman worker is a group of people who is susceptible iron anemia. Good nutrient status with calorie supply in the right amount and time, influence positively to the worker’s working power. This research is meant to know the relationship between iron consumption and nutrient status with the productivity of the women workers who make bricks in Kecamatan Pagar Merbau Kabupaten Deli Serdang 2004. This research is analytic descriptive with cross-sectional design which shows and analyzes the relationship between iron consumption and nutrient status with the productivity of the women worker. The population is all of the workers make the bricks 110 persons, and the sample is got by using the pattern of 51 people. The data of iron consumption and vitamin C is taken by using Food Recall Questionnaire, nutrient status is got from IMT by weighing the body weight, and the work productivity is got by counting the number of the bricks produced in a week. The analysis done by using correlation test with the trust degree of 95%. The result of the data process is given in the form of frequency. The result of the research shows that the large part of the respondents’ iron consumption is poor, the large part of the respondents’ vitamin C consumption is good, the large part of the respondents’ has a normal nutrient status category, the large part of the respondents’ has good work productivity. There isn’t relationship between nutrient status and the work productivity. It is suggested that the workers should increase the iron and vitamin C consumption and to consume the food energy source so that they can work more productive.
