Human Services for Low-Income and At-Risk LGBT Populations: An Assessment of the Knowledge Base and Research Needs

This report summarizes the current knowledge base and identifies key areas for future research related to human services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) populations. It focuses on three types of services funded by the Administration for Children and Families in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services: (1) income support and self-sufficiency programs; (2) child welfare programs; and (3) programs for youth, especially services for runaway and homeless youth and sexual health education.
