Hydrogen metal-hydride thermal to electrical conversion: “Hymtec”
This report introduces the concept of using protons (hydrogen ions) as the working fluid in a heat engine for the direct conversion of heat into electrical energy. A particular approach to such a conversion is described and its performance is outlined. Current and projected costs of components for a conversion device are presented and they form the basis of an assessment of the future of this method of conversion.
