In Pursuit of the ‘Third Mission’: Strategic Focus on Regional Economic Development by a Business School in the USA
Academic institutions are being increasingly expected to play a significant role in economic development. This paper describes how a doctoral-granting business school at a state university in USA is achieving this by maintaining a strategic focus on aligning its activities with regional economic development.
