Consumers act in housing in a way that disposable income is allocated to current consumption or for savings and future consumer needs. In many countries, household consumption is studied by analyzing family budgets. Household income is the main source of cover for public need of consumption. In this paper we analyzed the level, dynamics and structure of income and consumption expenditure of households in Romania during 2001-2008.
