Income Distribution Within Each Country of the Western World, USA and Japan - A Panel Data Analysis

Present paper makes some comments on the conclusions of (Bonesmo Fredriksen, 2012) who claims among others that “…Furthermore, EU income inequality is found to have increased over the past 25 years, albeit at a slower pace since 2000”. My comments are that the above conclusion depends on the assumptions of the econometric model used. Thus, if a wrong model is used then policy makers will take the risk to implement a wrong economic policy. The sample covers all western world, USA and Japan. Data are drawn from Eurostat. The elaboration of these panel data is made feasible by means of the Eviews software package
