Institutionalisierung von Internationalisierungs- Strategien an deutschen Hochschulen

Das übergeordnete Ziel dieses Arbeitspapiers liegt in einem Status Quo Befund der Institutionalisierung von Internationalisierung an deutschen Hochschulen im Rahmen von schriftlichen Dokumenten. Im ersten Teil der Studie werden die Grundlagen der Internationalisierung des Bildungssektors vermittelt. Es erfolgt eine ausführliche Darstellung des Internationalisierungsprozesses an Hochschulen aus der Perspektive des Strategie-Controllings. Der zweite Teil der Arbeit dient der Beschreibung der Methodik und Prämissen der Studie. Im dritten Teil der Arbeit erfolgt die Auswertung einer empirischen Untersuchung, die von den Autoren durchgeführt wurde. Das untersuchte Sample wies einen unerwartet hohen Integrations- und Institutionalisierungsgrad des Internationalisierungsprozesses auf. 46 Prozent der teilnehmenden Hochschulen haben bereits eine Internationalisierungsstrategie nebst Maßnahmenkatalog entwickelt. Die Zielorientierung der Internationalisierungsaktivitäten lag vor allem in der quantitativen und qualitativen Optimierung der international-orientierten Lehre. In der sich anschließenden Varianzanalyse wird die Effizienz der untersuchten Hochschulen anhand von sechs Indikatoren gegen die Internationalisierungstypen gesetzt, um einen Eindruck einer möglichen Korrelation zwischen der Existenz von Strategien und der höheren Effizienz zu gewinnen. Abschließend werden im Fazit die empirischen Ergebnisse zusammengefasst und einige Schlussfolgerungen und Handlungsempfehlungen für Hochschulen zur Institutionalisierung von Internationalisierungsstrategien abgeleitet.
