Intensification and the Effectiveness of Expanded Reproduction
Socialist expanded reproduction means the continuous renewal and development of the productive forces and production relations of socialism. The close relationship between these processes was emphasized in the materials of the Twenty-sixth Congress of the CPSU: "The main task of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan is to secure the further growth of the Soviet people's well-being on the basis of the stable, progressive development of the national economy, the acceleration of scientific and technical progress, the conversion of the economy to an intensive avenue of development, the more rational use of the country's production potential, the utmost economy of all types of resources, and improvement in work quality."
