Internationale Markteintrittsstrategien mittelgroßer Industrieunternehmen (MU) : am Beispiel deutscher Unternehmen in der VR China
ZusammenfassungAufgrund der Globalisierung der Wirtschaft und der zunehmenden Bedeutung des chinesischen Marktes sind immer mehr Unternehmen mit Fragestellungen, welche die Wahl einer optimalen Markteintrittsstrategie für China betreffen, konfrontiert. Mit der vorliegenden Arbeit wurde der Versuch unternommen, auf Basis einer Kombina-tion von Transaktionskostentheorie, Ressourcenansatz und standorttheoretischen Ansätzen ein Erklärungsmodell zur Entscheidungsunterstützung bei der Wahl der Markteintrittsstrategien mittelgroßer Industrieunternehmen für ein bestimmtes Ziel-land (die VR China) zu entwickeln. Dazu wurden die identifizierten theoretischen Er-klärungsansätze geprüft und ggf. modifiziert bzw. weiterentwickelt. Im Rahmen dieser Überlegungen wurde die praxisorientierte Betrachtung durch die Integration unternehmensinternen und externen Rahmenbedingungen innerhalb eines geschlossenen Gesamtkonzepts angestrebt. In Kapitel 3 wurden dazu die wichtigsten ziellandbezogenen Rahmenbedingungen, wie Arbeitskosten in China, zulässige Eintrittsformen für ausländische Investoren, Schutz von Know-how in Chi-na, staatliche Förderpolitik und Guanxi (persönliche bzw. gesellschaftliche Bezie-hungen) in der chinesischen Geschäftswelt, analysiert.Auf Basis der theoretischen Diskussion in Kapitel 4 wurde in Kapitel 5 in Berücksich-tigung der ziellandbezogenen Rahmenbedingungen, die in einem bestimmten Zeit-raum als relativ stabil zu betrachten sind, ein Erklärungsmodell zur Wahl der Markteintrittsstrategien entwickelt. In dem hier vorgestellten Erklärungsmodell wur-den transaktionskostenbezogene (Produkt- & Prozesstechnologien und vertragliche Unsicherheiten), unternehmensressourcenbezogene (internationale Erfahrungen und verfügbare Ressourcen) und standortbezogene (Marktwachstum und Marktpotential) Bestimmungsfaktoren integriert.Die empirische Analyse (Kapitel 6) bezieht sich auf das Segment der mittelgroßen Industrieunternehmen, für das bisher kaum sekundärstatistische Daten zur Verfü-gung standen. Mit den untersuchten Unternehmen konnte ein zufriedenstellender Stichprobenumfang gebildet werden, der ausschließlich echte Markteintrittsaktivitä-ten deutscher mittelgroßer Industrieunternehmen in der VR China umfasste. Somit konnte durch die statistische Analyse dieser Stichprobe eine umfassende Be-standsaufnahme der Markteintrittsaktivitäten deutscher mittelgroßer Industrieunter-nehmen in China abgebildet werden.Anhand von Modelltests wird aufgezeigt, welche Faktoren insbesondere aus Marke-tingsicht für die Markteintrittsentscheidung in China bedeutsam sind und welche Wir-kung das Vorhandsein von Marketing- und technologischen Fähigkeiten oder Know-how auf die Wahl der Markteintrittsstrategien hat. Zur Bestimmung der Schlüsselein-flussfaktoren der Wahl der Markteintrittsstrategien werden vier formulierten For-schungshypothesen (Hypothese 1, 2, 3 und 4), die direkte Einflüsse auf die Wahl der Markteintrittsstrategien postulierten, mittels der durchgeführten empirischen Untersu-chung bestätigt. Die Schlüsseleinflussfaktoren der Wahl der Markteintrittsstrategien für hier untersuchte Unternehmen beim Markteintritt in China sind: 1) Marktwachs-tum, 2) Innovationsgrad des eingeführten Produktes, 3) vertraglichen Risiken und 4) Auslandserfahrungen. Durch die Überprüfung der Hypothese 5 wurde erkannt, welche Rolle Guanxi in der chinesischen Geschäftswelt spielt. Der vermutete negative Zusammenhang zwi-schen der Unternehmensgröße und der Präferenz einer kooperativen Markteintritts-strategie (Hypothese 6a) wird durch die Daten nicht unterstützt. Dieses Ergebnis lässt den Schluss zu, dass die Unternehmensgröße zumindest für die hier unter-suchte Gruppe - keine signifikante Determinante für die Entscheidung zwischen einer Kooperations- und einer Alleineigentumsstrategie darstellt.Insgesamt betrachtet bietet die vorliegende Arbeit ein theoriegeleitetes Instrumenta-rium, das die Entscheidung mittelgroßen Unternehmen bei der Wahl einer Markteintrittsstrategie in China unterstützt. Für mittelgroße Industrieunternehmen kann die Frage nach der Generalisierbarkeit der empirischen Ergebnisse grundsätz-lich bejaht werden. Die Anwendung des theoretischen Modells zur Wahl internationa-ler Markteintrittsstrategien bei Unternehmen anderer Größe bzw. Branche würde ei-ne situationsspezifische Anpassung des Modells erfordern.
