Internationale Standardfindung Und Global Governance : Zur Legitimität Des Entstehungsprozesses Der Leitlinie ISO 26000 (International Standardization and Global Governance: On the Legitimacy of the Development of ISO 26000)

Mit anhaltenden Globalisierungstendenzen und abnehmender staatlicher Regulierungs-macht wird nicht-staatlichen Akteuren zunehmend gesellschaftliche Verantwortung zuge-sprochen. Die Internationale Standardisierungsorganisation (ISO) nahm dies zum Anlass, einen Standard für eine solche „Social Responsibility“ zu entwerfen. Der Beitrag analysiert den multi-organisationalen Diskurs zur Findung der neuen Leitlinie ISO 26000. Im Mittel-punkt der Überlegungen steht die Legitimität des Normfindungsprozesses dieses Standards, der als Fallbeispiel von Global Governance dient. Along with ongoing globalization tendencies and a decreasing regulative power of nation states there is a persistent call for private actors to take over social responsibilities. For this reason, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) set out to draft a standard on social responsibility of organizations. The article analyses the multi-organizational dis-course developing this new ISO 26000. The standard serves as an example of global governance on the interface between managerial and political science while the main focus of this article is on the legitimacy of its drafting process
