Internationale Wertschöpfungsketten: Reformbedarf und Möglichkeiten
Diese Studie zeigt, welche Kosten und Nutzen eine Veränderung der Lieferketten verursachen würde. Sowohl im Rahmen einer deskriptiven Analyse als auch durch eine quantitative Simulation wird die wichtige Rolle von globalen Wertschöpfungsketten für die deutsche Wirtschaft verdeutlicht. Eine Rückverlagerung der Produktion nach Deutschland (Reshoring) oder in benachbarte Länder, wie beispielsweise in die EU-Mitgliedstaaten (Nearshoring), hätte deutlich negative Folgen für die Wirtschaftskraft Deutschlands. Darüber hinaus werden in dieser Studie aus Perspektive der deutschen Wirtschaft Produkte identifiziert, bei denen eine Abhängigkeit aus dem Ausland besteht, und die entsprechenden Risiken von Lieferausfällen untersucht, denen diese Produkte ausgesetzt sind. Angesichts der Lieferrisiken und Unsicherheiten im Bereich der Wirtschaftspolitik, der Geopolitik, dem globalen Klimawandel und der Cybersicherheit bietet eine stärkere geographische Diversifizierung der Lieferkette im Vergleich zu einer ausschließlich im Inland organisierten Produktion eine Chance, um länderspezifische Risiken zu minimieren und Lieferketten robuster zu machen.
